My Camera is Back!!
But I still don't have any new pictures for you. :)
I need to get the pictures off and take some new ones. But, Alex just went to sleep, and I don't have the energy to do it tonight.
I did keep forgetting to tell everyone that Alex now has two teeth!! His first bottom tooth came through the day before surgery, and the second one came in the week after surgery.
I'll try really hard to get pictures of his teeth this weekend.
Two weeks from today we'll be in Guatemala!!!

Some Old Pictures
I left my camera at my aunt and uncle's house on Saturday, so I feel lost!!!
Here are some pictures from last week.
These are from Tuesday. Does anyone notice anything? Jay took the no-nos off for a little bit. We felt like such rebels!!

And they are blurry because he was bouncing so hard!!
These pictures are from Wednesday. Everyday he is looking better and better. Once I get my camera back, I'll post some more recent photos.

Stitches are Out!!
Jay took Alex to the surgeon today to get his stitches out. My understanding is that it wasn't very pleasant and a little bloody, but he survived.
He became a little swollen again, and there is some blood, but he's looking great.
Bad news is that he has to keep the no-nos on until Thursday - which means he still can't sleep on his tummy or get down and crawl around. But, we can make it a couple more days.
Here are some pictures I took tonight - lots of them, but I was trying to get a good picture of all sides of his face.

The Last Few Days
We've had an interesting couple of days. I haven't blogged because if I had any time, I was trying to sleep.
Alex is doing great. He hasn't had any pain medicine for the past day or so. He hates the Motrin that we give him and he is not in any pain. He's gotten to the point where he's feeling well enough to realize that he's not feeling well. :) He HATES the arm restraints, he wants to get down on the floor and roll and crawl around, and he really wants to sleep on his tummy. Because of this, sleeping has been very interesting. He does sleep some in the swing, but usually has to sleep in our laps. This has made for some very long nights. The good news is that he doesn't seem to be in pain, or upset as he's been very happy. (right now, he is in the exersaucer laughing and laughing and laughing)
Here are some pictures from the last few days.
Thursday:
You will see that he's still pretty swollen. We had has clothes off to give him a chance to dry off. He is drooling more then usual.

Friday:
The sides of his lips were looking better, but that middle part was still very swollen. He also had quite a bit of blood and snot built up in his nostrils.

Some Videos
Here are a few videos that we took the past couple of days.
This one was taken soon after getting into the hospital room after recovery.
This one Jay took soon after we got home yesterday. You will see that he just was not feeling very well at this time. This will also give you an idea of how he is being fed.
This one was just taken about 30 minutes ago. He's doing MUCH better!!

1st Day Post-Op
When we first got home from the hospital yesterday, Alex was not a happy camper. He was hungry, irritable, tired, and probably in pain. Jay took these pictures as I was trying to feed him.

As the day went on, he seemed to be doing better. He was napping, and eating pretty good. I gave him some time in the exersaucer and we saw an attempt at a smile for the first time. Some of these are blurry because he was bouncing so much.

You can see a little bit of a smile here.
